I realized I've never shown an example of a drawing prior to incorporating it into the finished encaustic process here, so here is another large scale drawing I am working on.
At this stage I usually take pictures and look at them on the computer screen (sometimes reversing the image). This is much easier than the time tested way of holding drawings up to a mirror to check them (especially at this size!). Only when I'm satisfied and it looks 'right' will I move to the next stage.
Many thanks to my two very patient boys who let me pose them awkwardly, with sheets wound around them, or patiently sat and let me photograph their hands in various poses in order to create this drawing.
